How long is a photo shoot?
A local location photo shoot is two hours.
A special event shoot such as a wedding is up to 8 hours or from start to finish.
A newborn hospital shoot is 15 to 20 minuets.
When will my photo shoot take place?
A newborn shoot should take place on the first full day after the birth of the child.
All shoot days and times and locations are to be set in advance between you and the photographer.
Can multiple people be in a session?
Yes, a sitting fee of 9.99 per person, (after the first person who is included in the package price), will be added to all two hour sessions.
Anyone at the hospital during a newborn shoot is welcome to join in for free.
All persons at an event such as a wedding will be subject to being photographed including guests at no extra cost.
Can I bring my own props?
Absolutely! I strongly encourage you to bring anything that is important to you or your children to express who you are personally. Some ideas are sports they play, books they love, favorite toys, instruments they play or any theme you want to do. It’s up to you. Let’s create together something that is just for and about the subjects in the photos.
How do I prepare for a shoot?
Always be prepared for parent involvement in photos even if the shoot is just for your child. Keep your hands clean and ready to be photographed in newborn images. Wear dark solid colors when being photographed with a newborn. Solid colors usually look the best in images showcasing the subject instead of the clothes. Ultimately do what you want to do and have fun.
What type of shoots do you do?
I will do anything you can dream up. Events such as proms, dances, parties, weddings, and more. Individual sessions, senior sessions, family sessions and the list goes on and on.
Will you travel?
Travel is on a case-to-case basis. If you want to travel lets talk and see what we can work out. I will travel to any local Salem Oregon locations at no extra cost.
What are session fees and what do they cover?
Session fees usually just cover the photographer’s time and you get nothing physical, but with our packages you get all your standard digital images ready to view in a private copyrighted slideshow online and you get to download and keep all the images after you pay your remaining balance. Wow! You won’t get that deal anywhere else. We don’t hide fees on you. The price you see listed for a package is going to give you all of your beautiful images, (up to or exceeding the amount of images promised), to use as you wish with the exception that they cannot be sold. If you want to share your personal password to share your online album that is up to you.
How long is my free slideshow available online?
Album slideshow proofs stay up on the site for three months.
Can I sale my images?
No, but you can print them and share them all you want. Enjoy!
What if it’s raining the day of my session?
We will work with you to reschedule if the weather is bad or if something unforeseeable happens such as an illness.
When will my photos be ready to view?
Please allow at least two to five weeks for standard and advanced touch-ups to photos before viewing, most are done in a week, but it may take longer if advanced Photoshop is part of your order or if multiple orders are being processed. Please be understanding that we want to make sure you have the best product and that takes time.
Do you do prints?
You can order prints from anywhere you wish with your digital download. This gives you more freedom to take the time to decide how much you want to spend and what you want to order.
Do you take Photoshop commissions for digital art?
Yes, my art pieces start a 75 dollars.
Can I use my own photo for an art piece commission?
Yes, as long as you own the copyright.
How does this all work?
First send us a message and we will discuss what you envision for your session and work with you to find a day and time that fits your needs. After getting to know what you want we will plan your session. After the short wait period you will then be contacted that your proofs are ready to view online. If your proofs are approved you must send a approval message and the final payment to receive your download or disc.
